Review: Revlon Age Defying Moisturizing Concealer

Hello everyone!

Today's review is for the Revlon Age Defying Moisturizing Concealer. This product is relatively new (I think I first remember seeing it in stores in January 2010), and it is priced at $9.99 for 0.37 fluid ounces. Also, since Revlon is a drugstore brand, you can occasionally find sales for BOGOF or BOGO50%, so that can help to make it even more affordable.

When you first get the box, it will look like this:

Personally, I am NC20 and use shade 002 Light for this concealer. I imagine that 001 would work for NC15, and 003 would work for those up to NC3O-35. Unfortunately, there are only those three shades for this concealer, so anyone with skin darker than NC35 will be out of luck finding a match with this product.

As for the actual product itself, this is the best undereye concealer I've tried to date. (For reference, I've tried all of MAC, MUFE, Almay, and Maybelline's concealers.) It covers very well without looking cake-y or dry, and it doesn't accentuate my fine undereye lines like many other concealers tend to do. The coverage is opaque with a bit of "glow" (hence the moisturizing properties, I suppose), so I do set this concealer with MUFE HD powder when I set my foundation, because I don't like looking as if I just finished a good cry :)

I should also mention that this product features SPF25 protection. I still use my own SPF55 sunscreen beforehand because I prefer an SPF of at least 30, but it is nice to know that there is that added protection for my delicate undereye area.

Overall, I give this product a five-star rating, because it really is the best undereye concealer I've found AND it is priced reasonably as well. However, I would suggest that Revlon consider adding some darker shades so that more people could enjoy this product.
